Alstef and Stanor mobilised despite the crisis: a new automated storage for early 2021

Despite the COVID-19 crisis, Alstef is ready to answer the needs of its customers and to assure its services in the best possible conditions and in the respect of the rules in force.

Stanor is a fruit cooperative of the Blue Whale Group that produces, sizes and packages 60 000 tonnes of apples per year in Tarn and Garonne. The Stanor teams are currently fully mobilised to provide fruits to the French shops.

To support the prospects of the cooperative positive development, Stanor has started a reflexion on the flows management revamping, and has decided to invest in new storage capacities. To automate its storage on the site of Moissac (82), the cooperative has chosen the French integrator Alstef for its expertise and its associated maintenance offer.

The project consists in a storage of 16 000 palox (boxes of 1200 x 1200 x 787 mm) in regulated temperature (between 1° and 4° C). The palox are handled and stored by 3 in a store equipped with 4 stacker-cranes and fitted with a double-depth rack.

The stacker-cranes will be equipped with on-board cameras to facilitate the detection and the remote treatment of some defects, and so limit working situations in height.

The whole installation will be controlled by the software Stockware® developed by Alstef, to manage and optimise the storage places, the references management and the stock inputs and outputs. Stockware® communicates directly with the customer’s ERP.

Emulation tests will be carried out to simulate flows and test the complete integration of the control system, and thus guarantee a quick and reliable commissioning. The receipt of the installation is planned on the second trimester 2021.
